Pastor Chris The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a faith-filled family with loving, dedicated parents. He was the oldest of four children born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina, and the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who imprinted her faith in God’s grace upon her son from a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry involves the whole family. Reverend Ken, his brother, is the beloved pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church and a member on Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM) in which numerous gospel artists are among the best-selling worldwide.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon is following in her father’s footsteps of sharing God’s Word to the world. As well as being known by CSO, she has been a talented, award winning gospel artist and is a part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome studied at Edo College before winning a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University, known in the present as Ambrose Ali University, where the student earned a BSc in Architecture. He also received an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also has an honorary doctorate of divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He received his calling from God to be a minister and serve the Lord.

The Man of God, while still studying at the university, founded what would later become one of the most important churches in the world. A small group of prayer called Youth for Christ’ was formed. It would evolve into one of the most admired groups at the university. LoveWorld Incorporated would follow millions of people with the foundation of Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated.

Pastor Chris directed the LoveWorld ministry to become a pioneer in satellite television and Christian production of television. Oyakhilome LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television channel that broadcasts 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air channels. In the present, LoveWorld stations can be seen on satellite and cable television networks throughout the world.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris’s home country of Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The church has two healing schools located in South Africa.

Songs and Gospel Music are also an essential part of worship. Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for gospel music. Christ Embassy Churches have a choir that is supervised and trained by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these performers have had successful solo careers.

The Future African Leaders Foundation (FALF) is an organization that is focused on sustaining the inspirational work of Pastor Chris. Its mission is to find and train young, talented leaders. They help them prepare for a an exciting future by assisting and celebrating their achievements.
