Pastor Chris The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, who was nurtured by a family of faith and supported by his parents. He was the oldest of four children of Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina who is the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace on her son from an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a collaboration between the entire family. Reverend Ken is his brother. He is the revered Pastor at Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church. He is also a member the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director for the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry which has a host of gospel top-selling artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon chose to follow her father’s lead in sharing God’s Word with the world. Also known as CSO (Community Service Organization) She is a skilled gospel artist and a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student at Edo College and was awarded a scholarship by Bendel State University to study architecture. He has an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. The Man of God began what would later become one of the largest churches in the world while he was still in school at university, with an unassuming prayer group known as ‘Youth for Christ’, which eventually evolved into the most popular organization of its kind on campus and would serve as the basis of the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers around the world.

The LoveWorld ministry was founded under the leadership of Pastor Chris. It is a leader in satellite TV, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT became the first Christian television channel that broadcasts 24/7 from Africa via free-to -air networks. There are LoveWorld television stations on satellite and cable networks all over the globe.

Christ Embassy is present in Pastor Chris’s home country of Nigeria as well as South Africa. It also has strong representation across the United Kingdom, Canada, United States, and South Africa. The ministry has two healing schools, which are based in South Africa.

Music and Gospel Music play an integral part to worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry choir training. Many of these singing artists are soloists who have achieved success under the guidance of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s direction.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is a committed and generous philanthropist. He founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation (COFI) a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization with the mission to assist the poorest communities and people in the most impoverished regions and nations around the world.

COFI is supported by five partners, each of whom is committed to improving the standard of living in the most remote areas.

Under the auspices COFI is the InnerCity Mission (ICM) for children, the Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), and the Bible For All Mission. The charity also provides food for children who are in need.
